Hi , I am Natalia.

I have qualified as a Midwife in Greece in 2002 and I have worked in the private and public sector in Greece providing antenatal, postnatal, high risk for under two years and NICU care for two years as midwives work in NICU in Greece.

I moved to UK in 2006 with the ambition to study for a MSc degree as in Greece we believed

that studying in the UK will provide you with more opportunities to develop yourself and progress at work and also to acquire experience in working as a midwife due to high rate of cesarean sections in Greece at that time. I have worked over the years permanently and as a bank/agency midwife in most London Hospitals and have moved to West Midlands in 2019 for a better quality of life for me and my kids before they hit the difficult teenage years.

I love providing care to women across cultures and backgrounds and explaining the provision of care from different angles and perspectives as I believe that fully informed women and families can cope better with labour, birth and looking after a newborn. I think there are some amazing services that are not known to the public or to the service providers and would like with this platform to raise awareness. I would like to be able to support charities that make a difference to maternity services and more than happy to talk to you via zoom or a meet up to get to know you better and find ways that we can work together or provide my expertise to families that would like that extra help, support or direction to the appropriate services.
